Different Requirements for Different Materials in Leveling Machines

Different materials used in leveling machines impose varying requirements on machine tool castings. The structural requirements for alloy machine tool castings include the following aspects:
Reasonable wall thickness: The primary requirement is to ensure adequate alloy fluidity, while avoiding excessively thick walls.
Uniform wall thickness: Walls should be as uniform as possible. Hot spots are prone to defects such as shrinkage cavities, porosity, and coarse grains.
Rational wall connections: Structural fillets must be incorporated. Transitions between thick and thin walls should be smooth, and connections should avoid intersections and sharp corners.
Feeding considerations: Thick sections of the casting should be designed to facilitate risering (feeding) to compensate for shrinkage.
Avoidance of large horizontal surfaces: Large flat surfaces should be minimized.
Unobstructed shrinkage: The design must prevent any hindrance to casting shrinkage.
